How To Live Through The End Times-Jesus For 1,000 Years!

Revelation 20:1-6

1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. NIV

Christians agree on these 3 essentials:

1. The visible return of Jesus

2. The Bodily resurrection of the dead

3. The final judgment of all people

3 Views of the Millennial Kingdom described in Revelation:

1. Amillennialism-Believes that the 1,000 yrs. is figurative, that we are in it now and it will be complete at Christ 2nd coming.

2. Postmillennialism-The idea that the Kingdom of God will gradually progress into worldwide peace at Christ 2nd coming.

3. Premillennialism-Believes in a literal 1,000 year time when Satan is bound and Jesus reigns after his 2nd coming.

Five reasons the Millennial Kingdom is literal (P.O.W.E.R.):

Joy to the world, the Lord is come!

Let earth receive her King;

Let every heart prepare him room,

And heaven and nature sing,

And heaven and nature sing,

And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.

Isaac Watts
